The ordinary meeting of this Board was held on the 4th inst., all the member* being present. The Surveyor reported that the road from the main street to the railway station required repairs, also road to bharpliu's* mill, also bridge on fiam Paddock road. Surveyor to have repairs done. Resolved—That the Surveyor lay out branch races through Mr Gorton's property to serve No. 1 race, and do away with Leurs , catting; also, branch race through Mr Wotheropoon's. The Board decided to again advertise that the proprietors of traction engines csed the bridges at their own risk. Letter from Mr riowman, asking the Board to repair the bridge leading to his property. '£he Board were not responsiole. '• Iα reply to correspondence, Board intends 50. carry races alongside of roads, and charge halfrates in accordance with the Act. Letter from Mr Ingram, complaining* that the Board had left a gap in his fence. To be repaired. From Colonial Secretary's office, informing the Board that the View Hill Water-race district had been gazetted. Surveyor to lay off the race. The Water-race Banger's report was received, showing the races on the whole to ' be in good condition, and pointing onfi some necessary work, which the Board agreed to da Letter from Mr Hawker, re diversion of road. Surveyor to commit with him. POundkeeper'e report to end of I Februaryjvas received. Contract for ford No. 273 was lefc to B. G. Grunwood for £52. Accounts t* the amount of £12 16s 3d wen passed let payment, and the Board adjourned.
