KAIAPOI.
The monthly meeting of tbe Kaiapoi Borough School Committee was held on Monday evening. Present—Messrs Moore (Chairman), Pashby, iTeldwick, Fraser, Hiatt, and Coup. In reference to the question of awarding prizes to children who had not passed out of the standards which they were in for two years, it was resolved that 15 percent, of the marks for this year would be deducted. The attendance for the past month was equal to 90 per Cent, of tne roll number. Accounts £3 5s were passed for payment. Arrangements were concluded for the entertainment, which takes place, as advertised, on Thursday next.
