SEFTON FARMERS' CLUB.

The annual meeting of. this Club was held on Saturday night, in the Town ,Hall;i Sefton ; Mr John Vailance,. jun., Vice-President, in the chair.. There was a good attendance of members. The Secretary submitted the annual balancesheet, which showed a credit balance of £15 12s 4d. Ibis was considered highly satisfactory, and on the motion of Mr J. Elwood,, seconded by Mr Thomas Hanna, juh., was adopted. Mr Elwood proposed a hearty vote of thanks to the officers of the Club for the way in which they had conducted the business during the past year, which was carried unanimously. Th_ election" ot officers was then proceeded with, arid "resulted as follows :— Mr C. Ensor, President; Mr John Vailance,: jun.,, Vice-President;; M Thos. Wyllle, Secretary; Mr R. Lewis, Treasurer. "'. Mr "Vailance reported tbe Kowai Road Board would provide the funds for purchasing small .birds' eggs as usual, and they had appointed Messrs J. Elwood, J. McLeod, and Thos. WyHie, in addition to the members of the Board, to purchase the eggs. A discussion took place on turnip growing, and it was pointed out that the best time to sow was about the middle' Of December. Several other matters were attended to, after which the meeting adjourned.
