ANNAT.
A meeting of the Annat School Committee was held on Monday night. Present — Messrs Graham (chairman), Fergusson, Keys, Searle, and McNae. Circulars from the Board were read, giving a list of books to be used and subjects taught In the schools, elementary tiook-keeping being one for tbe higher standards, agricultural chemistry being suggested as another in the country schools. This latter subject has been taught in the Annat school for more than twelve months. The master's report gave 83 on the roll, and an average of 68.5 for the month of November. Details for the carrying out of a concert on New Year's Day were dealt with, and the business closed.
