PRESIDENT'S CUP.
The Midland No. 1 President's Cup team defeated AddingtonThird at Hagley Park on Saturday last , by an Innings and 65 rune. Scores :— Midland, 175—Daniels, 49; Curtain, 46; M. Woodward, 20. Sauadore, 18; and Eowe. 11. Addington. 82 and 78. Curtain and M. Woodward bowled well for the winners, and Lambert was most successful with the ball for Addington. i The Midland No. 2 team commenced a match with the College second eleven on Saturday, and had all the best of the day's play. Scores:—Midland, 119 (Millar 50, McKay 14, and Wolff 11); and 5a for two wickets (Millar 35, nob out,,and McGarty 13). College, 64 (Nalder 13 and Murphy 10). Millar and Murphy trundled well for the Midland and College respectively. The match- between St. ALbans ana the Boys' High School was commenced at St, Albans on Saturday. Ac the finish of the afternoon's play neither side could claim' any advantage. Scores:—High School 76, and 41 for one wicket; Buchanan 45, Grossman 16, Lambie 13 (not out), Orr 11 (not out) batted well. St. Albans, 83; West 27, G. Uassell 19 were che principal scorers. A matoh was played at Bar wee on Saturday, November loth, between View Hill and United Courtenay, which resulted in an easy win for View Hill by 150 runs on the first innings. The scores were—View Hill 187, United Courtenay 37. For View Hill, Sanlez played a brilliant innings for 100, and Gorton and E. JFeary made 25 and 15 respectively.
