JUNIOR CUP MATCHES.

The St. Albans t Lancaster Park match is lefc in an interesting condition, the scores being—St. Albaua 81 and 45 for three wickets (Smith 33, J. Homer 18 and 15, Philpott 15). Lancaster Park—9l (Cooke 35, Whittle 18). For St. Albans the bovrlers to secure the best average were— •ColvUle, two for 9; Hasell, three for 32; liarabert, two for 24. For L.P.C.—Bates* four for 23; Preece, sir for 50. The wicket was an excellent one, and played splendidly. The fielding was good all round. A match was commenced on the College ground on Saturday last between Christ's College and the Midland Second, when the latter Recured an advantage which should enable them to win somewhat easily. The Midland went in first and ran up a total of 130 before being disposed of, J. Garty contributing a carefully compiled 34, while Richards made 24, Hay 19 and Mumford 15. The College, on going in to bat did note score as well as their opponents, as ac the call of time they had lost nine wickets for 73 runs, thus being 57 to the bad with but one wicket -to fall. Pyke was top scorer for the boys with 18, and Wash 13 and Lafiferty were the next most successful batsmen. Barry bowled very successfully for the Midland, capturing seven wickets for 27 runs, while Lafferty and Fryer did best with the ball for the College. The following are the scores in the match United Third v Upper Blccajrton :— United, 60 and 53—Robleon, 28 and 0; Tapper, 3 and 12; McDowell, 1 and 11. Upner Blccarton, 67 and 4 for four wickets —Grier, 27; Hepburn, 10.

In the match between the United C.C.C t Addington C.C., the former Club have £>fc considerably the best of the game so r as it has gone, having made 146 themselves, and got the other side out for 50 Iα their first innings and captured three wickets for no runs in the second innings. E. Kitto 33 (pot out), Wood 24, R. Kitto 22, and Aldred 21 were the highest scorers for the U.C.C.; whilst Wood for them and Gates, Coghlan and Jones for the A.C.O. were the most successful bowlers, Wood doing the hat trick, besides making a very good one-handed catch oft his own bowling. .
