It is stated that Captain O'Shea is anxious to withdraw the divorce proceedings. FIRE AT A RACING STABLE. New York, January 13. By a fire at a racing stable in Versailles, Kentucky, the celebrated trotting stallion Bellboy was destroyed. Thirty-four other horses valued at a hundred thousand dollars were also burned. Received January Uth, 8 p.m. DISSOLUTION OF PARLIAMENT- , London, January 13. The New York Herald's statement that Parliament would be dissolved as soon as the Budget was passed is denied. LORD HARTINGTON. The Marquis of Hartington ie oat of danger. THE STRIKES IN BELGIUM. Brussels, January 13. The mine owners have conceded the demands of the Charleroi miners. THE DOCKERS' STRIKE FUND. London, January 13. Cardinal Manning wrote to Burns in November protesting against the surplus strike funds being expended in indiscriminate charity. He advised that the money should be handed to a Benefit Society for tho permanent advantage of dockers. Burns states that the Melbourne remittance has been vested in five members of the Union for the relief of distress. ' Received January 14th, 10 p.m. NATIONAL LEPROSY FUND. London, January 14. The Prince of Wales presided at a meeting of subscribers to the National Leprosy fund. He spoke in terms of admiration of Father Damien and his work. Seven thousand pounds have been collected.
