Tbe Ground Committees report was read, and after consideration it was decided to proceed with the erection of a new shilling stand, with confectioner's and publican's booths underneath ; to erect new entrance gates ; to make some alterations to the saddling paddock, aud fence In the weighing room, and to asphalt or cement the paths leading to each room. It was also decided to invite suggestions from district owners and trainers with reference to the construction and maintenance of a training track.

At the S.C.J.C. meeting on Monday night the balance-sheet showed a profit of £211 on the year's work, encouraging the Committee to offer a more liberal programme for the September meeting.
