MARLBOROUGH EDUCATION BOARD.

[PRESS ASSOCIATIOK TELEGRAM.] BLENHEIM, August 6. It was elicited at the Marlborough Education Board that no travelling allowance or other moneys had ever been drawn by any member. This is believed unique. Some members live twenty miles away. A deadlock between the Board and a country Committee is proceeding. • Tbe Committee quarrelled with a late teacher, and persecuted him out of the district, and asked the Board to allot another. The Board appointed an excellent teacher from Blenheim School, and now the Committee reject the appointee, and ask for a married man. The old teacher holds the key of the dwelling-house and school. The Committee recently broke open the door and put on a new lock, and all parties are now locked out. Consideration was deferred.
