[press association telesrah.] WELLINGTON, January 25. In the Divorce Court the suit Egan v Egan, brought by the wife, waa beard, the grounds alleged being adultery and cruelty. Petitioner was possessed, of .a considerable amount of property, including; .£2OOO bringing 8 per cent, interest. Some land had been made over to her by her husband, but did not realise anything, being heavily mortgaged. Evidence was given as to various acts of cruelty and adultery with two women. In 1884, a protection order had! been granted against the husband.
