The big running handicap was won by Nicola, with Butler second, but a protest was entered -hat he had. not given in his performance at Timaru. The amateur handicap was won by C. J. Lamb, the mile race by H. Peebles, mSe walk by A. S. DScNiven, wrestling by HY Dunn, the principal piping sad doneing by S. McKay, who beat a recent importation who came from Scot-snd with a great reputation. i
