LINWOOD FOOTBALL CLUB.

4 very pleasant evening was spent on Saturday by the Linwood Football Club and their friends at the Royal George HoteL About forty were present, amongst whom were captains of most of the Junior Cup teams, and representatives of several of the leading clubs in Christchurch. Toasts were drunk in honor of the " Canterbury Bugby Union," " Junior Cup Committee," "Winners of the Junior Cup," and •-arious others. Songs were given in food style by Messrs Plunket (2), Cusack, ,edsham, Stapleton, Hobbs, Collers, and other votaries of the rrusical art. Mr Wm. Cook (Captain) occupied the chair, and (was supported by Messrs KZesteven, Marr, Fowke, and Digby. Mr Brooks acted as pianist.
