MR SAUNDERS AT BROADFIELD.

TO THK EDITOR OK THE PRESS. Sib, —Having noticed a letter in to-day's Press signed "J. Dennison," refuting the report of Mr Saunders" meeting, perhaps his memory wants refreshing, which I am willing to elo. He might try and remember directly after the vote of thanks and confidence was proposed, seconded, and carried by arclamation, when this subsided, one J. McVeigh, not a resident in the district, but from the Tai Tapu, proposed a vote of thanks only. Failing a seconder, the. meeting began at once to break up.—Yours, &c, ROBERT AITKEN. Broadneld, sth September, 1887.
