TESTPLETON ROAD BOARD.
The Templeton Road Board met at the office, Taylor's Hotel, Yildhurst, on Wednesday, July oth. Present—Messrs Bailey, Barter, Carpenter, and Taylor.
The minutes of the last meeting having been read and cou firmed, a letter was read from the Secretary for Public Works,.informing the Board that a quarter's grant from the Provincial and General Government would be paid on application.
Teuders were then opened for the formation of Bachanan's road. The highest tender was 14s ; that of C. Gilberthorpe being accepted at 10s 6d: for the Station road, 15s: and the lowest, J. Williams, at 10s.
The Surveyor was directed to have certain repairs made to the pound; to have culverts laid down at the following places, viz., two on the Pound road, now being formed ; one at the Bail Way, station, another by C. Jeffs, at Parish's station, and another on the road from EUis's comer to Brace's. Also, to employ two road men regularly at 5s per diem: to advertise for tenders for the formation of forty chains of road from Jeffs' towards Dermott's. The Board then adjourned.
