October 10. "Zeidler's Correspondence," a semiofficial journal published here, says at the recent meeting of the Emperors Napoleon and Francis Joseph at Salzburg an understanding was come to as to the person whom they would support as successor to Pope Pius the Ninth. The City of Hamburg has refused to join the North German Zollverein. The Prussian journals still continue to denounce France in most violent terms, and Government also continues to make immense military preparations.
