Miss P. Davies, Taneatua, is holidaying at Taupo.
Mr R. Smith is spending a three weeks’ holiday with his parents at Te Teko.
Bill and Jim Davies, of Napier, are holiday with their parents at Taneatua.
Mrs D. Saunders and Elizabeth, of Frankton, are staying with Mr and Mrs C. R. Coates, Commerce Street, Whakatane.
Motions of sympathy with the relatives of a former director, Mr J. Jamieson and Mr F. S. Hodson, a member of the staff, were passed at the annual meeting of shareholders of the Rangitaiki Plains Cooperative Dairy Company Ltd. at Edgecumbe yesterday.
Messrs George Brabant and A. Fotheringham, who have been called up for service in Korea, were farewelled by the staff of Brabant Brothers on Wednesday evening. A presentation was made to Mr Fotheringham.
