ENJOYABLE DANCE

PATRIOTIC BENEFIT On Saturday last ' the Borough Ladies Patriotic Committer held another of its dances in the King street Hall. Owing to counter attractions the attendance was not as large as is usual, but nevertheless an enjoyable evening Avas spent by those couples on the floor. Recently the members of the R.N.Z.A.F. were farewel?ied at a similar function when Mr S. S. bhapley, deputy-mayor Avas in attendance to make a presentation on behalf of the County and Borough and also on behalf of the Ladies' Committee. The men entertained were Messrs Eric Morey and Bernird GoodalH, of the Air Force.
