LOW CEMENT OUTPUT
(P.A.) Whangarei, Jan. 12. Because of the low stocks of coal, only one of the four kilns at the cement works at Portland was fired today when the works opened after the holidays. It is not known when a collier will arrive from the south and local coal supplies are uncertain and insufficient.
