FASCIST REVIVAL IN LONDON
MEETING CLOSED DOWN BY POLICE London, Sept. 28. Police in the East End of London tonight closed down a meeting of the British League of Ex-service-men, the organisation which its opponents say is a revival of the prewar British Union of Fascists. ' Two men were arrested under the Public Order Act.
A group of Labour Members of Parliament watched the meeting and an officer from Scotland Yard took shorthand notes of what was said.
Continuous cries of “Down with Fascism” and “Germany Calling” interrupted the speakers. It is stated that some supporters gave the Fascist salute as the car drove the speakers away.
