CEREMONY AT CANTERBURY

ARCHBISHOP ENTHRONED London, April 21.' With ancient and picturesque ceremonial, the enthronement of Dr. Geoffrey Francis Fisher, formerly Bishop of London, as Archbishop of Canterbury, took place this afternoon in the choir of Canterbury Cathedral, When the vast congregation, assembled they found few visible signs of war. The sandbags which had protected the most important monuments “Had been removed, but just outside there were many war scars, including rubble which was once the Cathedral library. The robed and uniformed dignitaries f representing Protestant churches throughout the world •included the Lutheran Church representative, Dr. Julius Rieger, who escaped from Germany in 1937, and Pastor Saindbaek and Bishop Urne Fjellibii, who recently escaped from Denmark and Norway, respectively.
