BORNEO AGAIN RAIDED

OIL STORES ATTACKED ALL PLANES RETURN FROM, LONG FLIGHT London, August 17. The big Japanese-occupied oil centre of Balik Papan in Borneo has been attacked for the second time by Allied bombers based on Australia. Damage caused on the first raid a few days ago was confirmed and once again all our bombers returned safely from this 2500 mile round trip. In yesterday’s attack oil storage tanks were set on fire and a 6000-ton tanker was also left in flames. Several Japanese fighters tided to intercept our bombers and 12 of them were shot down.
