STRICT SURVEILLANCE
ITALIANS IN HANKOW Chungking, Augtfsl 16. I; is reported that following the fall of Mussolini, the Japanese authorities in Hankow placed all Italians in the city under strict surveillance. They also confiscated their short-wave radio sets and prescribed severe punishment for Kalians listening to Allied broadcasts.
