KIEL POUNDED

BIG R.A.F. RAID

Heaviest Of War

No Bombers Lost

London. Oct. 11

Last night our bombers, were out in force over Germany and made a strong attack on the big German naval base at Kiel.

It was the heaviest attack which has yet been made on this target. This was the 70th raid on Kiel since the war began and the sixth night raid on Germany this month. All our planes returned safely. Our Beaufighters patrolling the shipping lanes in the Bay of Biscay have been active.

Yesterday they shot down two Junkers SS, also an enemy flying boat and damaged another Junkers SS. The Beaufighters suffered no losses.
