MEMORIAL SERVICE

A combined Girl Guide and Boy Scouts’ memorial service has been arranged for to-morrow afternoon at 2.3 0 p.m. If the weather is fine the service will be held at The Elms, but if wet at the Town Hall.

The Mayor is to preside and an address will be given by Dr. Southon of Matamata, who commenced scouting with Lord Baden Powell in his second troop which was formed in England. Dr. Southon is at present in charge of the Scout Camp on the Domain. All interested are welcome to attend the service, and efforts are being made to have the Municipal Band in attendance.
