WOMEN’S MISSIONARY UNION The January meeting of the Baptist Women’s Missionary Union was held in the Church on Thursday. Fifteen members being present. The President, Mrs Bryan, was in the chair, and the Secretary, Miss Tebbs, read the minutes of the last meeting. It was proposed to hold a garden party at the residence of the Secretary, Miss Tebbs, Gate Pa, at the beginningjjf next month. With regret, the resignation of Mrs Dabb from the position of Ropeholder Leader, was acecpted. Miss Brough, of Tauranga, who is home on leave from the 8.T.1., ggve an interesting talk of “Witnessing for Christ.’’ This was followed by an address by Miss Edwards, a missionary home on furlough from China. The meeting closed with prayer.
