Miss Anne Bloor has returned from a holiday visit to Hawke’s Bay.
Mr* G. W. Searby, Government audit inspector, is paying an official visit to Tauranga.
Dr Boyd, Medical Officer of Health, and Mr Armour, health officer, who have been visiting Tauranga, left today on their return to Auckland.
Visitors staying at the Commercial Hotel include Mr and Mrs Jewel (New Plymouth), Mr and Mrs Sinclair Ross Mr and Mrs .Main and Mr and Mrs Anderson (Opotiki).
Guests at the Tauranga Hotel Include Mesdames Hoyes, Frewin and McMillan, Miss Keyte, and Messrs Laurie, Gibson, Carter, ‘ Nicholson, Gould and McFarlane.
. Rev. O. S. O. Gibson and Mrs Gib-i son will be away from Tauranga for ten days.
Recent, guests at Hotel St. Anne’s include Dr. and Mrs MacKenzie, Miss Mirams, Miss Murray, Miss Walker and Mr and Miss Wilkinson (Auckland, Miss Lake (Dunedin);
Professor Strong, dean of the Home Science School, Otago University. has left on a visit to the United States.
Mr Geoffrey .Ollivier, tennis champion of New Zealand for six years, will leave Christchurch in about a fortnight’s time to take up an engagement with a tennis school in Auckland. He has been a professional player for some years, and for two years was coach to the Canterbury Lawn Tennis Association. J
Mr and Mrs Ashton and Messrs McDonald (2), Roberts. Rickards, DornWell, Allen, and Dempster are staying at the Star Hotel.
Mr A. E. Cameron formerly manager of the Orange (New South Wales) branch of the Bank of Australasia, has been appointed manager of the Wanganui branch in succession to Mr W. H. Robertshaw, who has been uromoted to the Wellington management of the bank, succeeding Mr J. A. Mcleod, who wll Ishortly retire on pension after 43 years’ service. Mr Macleod is well-known in Tauranga and for some time was in charge of the local branch of the Bank.
A London message states that the Rev. W. A. Sinclair and Mrs Sinclair of Auckland, are making their headquarters at Rugby with their elder son, Mr Norman T. Sinclair, who is the modern languages master at Rugby. Their second son, Mr R. O. Sinclair, has been in England on leave from Nigeria, where he has an appointment under the Colonial Office. He has returned for a second term of service after having had a pleasant stay in the Mother Country. In April, the family spent a few weeks in Cornwall and Devonshire. Mr Sinclair, who was at one time stationed in Tauranga, has been in London attending the Methodist Conference. He and his wife will probably return to New Zealand, but their plans are not definite:
