Cable Assoc, Bee June 12, 11.20 a.m. Sydney, June 12 Giving evidence before the select Parliamentary Committee, Mr Osborne, member of tlie Metropolitan Meat Industries Association, said that in 1922-23 Australia exported 678,000 quarters of frozen meat, a decease of 50,000 compared with the previous year for the same period. Argentine chilled meat! exported amounted to 1.409,000 quarters. He said the reason for the falling off in the Australasian trade was not that Australian and New Zealand frozen meat is not up to the required standard, butl that chilled beef is the article new in greatest demand in Britain.
