Eec June T2. 11.20 a.m. Sydney June 12 Mr McDonald, Chairman uf the Northern Coal Association, states in 1923 there were 190 separate strikes in the Maitland district, while to the end of May this year there were 205. He quoted figures to shew that trade from Newcastle was gradually dwindling away and said exports to the west coast of America had fallen from a million and ahalf in 191.2 to half-a-mllion in 1921.
