Lord Harris, speaking at a; banquet held at Alanchester to celebrate the. diamond jubilee of the Lancashiie County Cricket Club, asked what the comities were doing to see that the rules regarding qualifications were being observed. “1 induced, ’ he said, ‘‘Kent to,ask Alarylehone to inquire into McDonald’s qualifications. The newspapers state that McDonald was in Australia, last winter, and under the circumstances 1 think Lancashire will welcome the opportunity to satisfy the public on tho point.”
