SUPPLY OF INSULIN

Under the original agreement with the Toronto University, Dr. Cumpston, Commonwealth Director of Health, was limited to supplying insulin to specialists. Toronto has now consented to supply to all medical practitioners. Dr Cumpston states that the Commonwealth laboratory is in a position to supply all Australian and New Zealand requirements. Statistics for the year ended June 30, show that one iu eight persons over thirty years of age died of cancer. The average has gradually increased from thirty-five in each 100,000 in 1861, to ninetynine in each 100,000 in 1922.
