Messrs Moritzsoa and Uoukiu, grain, produce, and general o-imtnissio.i agents, Manse-Street, Dunedin, report : — Wheat. — As y«t very little is doing iv this line, and until the new crop is well on the market it's usi'loss to quote valu"s. So far, buyers' and sellers' ideas of valups aro too far apart to lead to sales other tbau that of small lines for mixing purposes. Fowl's whta 1 ; still comes forward sparingly. Prices rule from 2s Gd to 3< par bushel. Barley.- — Very few transactions have taken place ; now samples still scarce. We have inquiries from Melbourne. We quote from 33 to 33 6d. Oats. — The new crop is coming to hand slowly, and we are pleased to say quality of samples received is good. We have disposed of all lota forwarded at up ti Is B^d for prime feed to Is 9J for milling. Flour. — Prices have receded. Prime Timaru roller, delivered here, at £S 103 in sacks. Oatmeal. — £8 10d in 25' a, packed iv Backs £8 ; in bulk per 2240 lb. Bran.— 4ss f. o. b. Timaru ; 50s locally. Sharps. — 60s f. o. b. Tiuiaru ; 70s locally. Potatoes. — Prime Oatnaru Derweuta, 55a to 60s ; Southern, only prime quality, at 50d. Pigs.— 3d to 3£d if prime quality and well killed, up to 160 lb. Chaff. — Prime well cut, ooa, axcka returnable. Straw (oaten and wheaten). — 40s. Hay (oaten). 60s. Hay (clover and ryegraßs). — 60s. Butter.— 6d to 7d for fresh. Nominal price for salt is 61 per lb. ifigga. — Scarcer this week. We have sold at lid and Is. Cheese. — 3£d for prime Akaroa ; 4d for small loaf. Hams and Bacon. — 7d and 61 for best quality. Honey.— 3^d to 4d for run, 4.41 for prime extracted.
Grass Seeds.— Ryegrass aa yet in little demand. Victoria reports : Plenty old stocks on baud. Price, 23 to da. Cocksfoot. — We have placed several lines this week at 4d to 4ii for a prime sample.
