HORSE MARKET.
Wright Stephenson, and Co. report as follows : — For last Saturday's sale no les3 than 120 horses came to hand, most of them from the country. They consisted for the most part of medium draughts and light harness horses (many of them weeds), but amongst them were a lot of superior draughts from Mr William Waddell, of Roughcraig Farm. These latter commanded some attention— they brought from £23 to £32 10s. We sold in all 75 head, including a draft of 40 head light and medium draughts from Mr J. Benjamin Ede, Canterbury, at i from .£lO to £19. We quote first-class draughts at from .£25 to £30 ; medium, £16 to £20 ; light ditto, £12 to £14 ; good hacks and light harness horses, £14 to £20 ; medium, £8 to £12 ; light and inferior, £2 to £5.
