Wheat during the past week has continued in good demand, and prices are showing a hardening tendency. Several large transactions have taken place, and as much as 4s has been paid for prime Tuscan and Pearl Velvet wheats in big parcels, Every description is readily saleable, and for choice parcels of Tuscan 3s lid to 4s is obtainable ; velvet, 3s lOd to 4s ; and red straw, 3s 7d to 3s 9d. Oats : The demand has been brisk and large lines have been placed for shipment. The quotations are —Prime milling, 2s to 2s Id ; heavy bright feed, Is lid to 2a ; medium, Is 10d ; inferior and light, Is 7d to Is 9d. Barley: The quotations are— 2a 9d to 33 for malting ; medium, 2a 6i to 2s 81 ; inferior, 2a to 2s 4d ; but the demand is limited and sales are difficult to effect. Grass Seed. — Quotations are nominal.
