Donneliey, road contractor, was severely injured abo^it the head by a fall when working on road works at Mangapoike. ■ Roadmen carried him from 7 a.m. yesterday till 11 p.m., over roads in a fearful, state. Donnehey's condition is st'ill critical. . • pU^-EDIiV, yesterday. Andrew' Wilson, a miner., aged .40, was drowned in the Wuipori river near the township this morning. Deceased had been drinking. The body has been recovered. INVERCARGILL, last night. Staff -Sergt.-Major Taylor, of the Otago Military District,' wlio has been ! stationed in Invercargill for the last three years, died suddenly this evenhig while reading a newspaper at his home. He was 40 yoars"of ago.
