Dennehy was charged upon the information of Constable Lawlisa with having used abmivo language on Nov. 29th, whereby a breaoh of the peaoe might have been oooasioned. Mr Blakiston appeared for accused, and pleaded guilty. He urged in extenuation that it was election time, and his client vraa somewhat

excited. The Bench inflicted a fine of Cs, with costs £1 10s, witnesses expenses 83, CIVIIi CASES. Duncan Mackay v. Mare Kautalv, claim £2 165. Judgment for plaintiff for amount claimed, with costs 7s. Same v. Ihaka Bautahi, claim £7 3s. Judgment for plaintiff, with costs 7s. B. Solomon v. J. B. Lloyd, claim 17a Gd. Plaintiff amended tho claim by striking out two items, and after hearing evidence judgment was given for plaintiff for 10s, with costs 6s. Badloy and Co. v. J. B. Lloyd, claim £4 Gs Id on a judgment summons. Plaintiff did not appear, and the case waa struck out. B. Solomon v. S. King, claim £1 7s on a judgment summons. Order made for payment on Jan. 12, or in default 14 days hard labour. A number of other cases were adjourned until the 22nd inst.
