The Wanganui Herald : — ' Wanganui playgoei'3 participated in an entertainment of the most interesting nature, and every satisfaction was given to the largo audience assembled. Professor G. \V. Heller oiened the entertainment with some clever feats. His exposition of the cabinet seance is a most finished performance, and roars of laughter were caused by the exhibition. Moreover, his 'patter' is very smart, bubbles of merriment following quickly on a running fire of witty and apropos remarks. A decided feature of tho entertainmont was the exhibition by Miss Maudccna Heller of a most extraordinary gift. It is tarmod ' rosierucian somnomancy,' and its genuineness was amply vouched by those interested. Slips of papar having been handed round to members of the audience with the invitation to write any questions, and the papers were collected, skaken] up, and redistributed. Taking a piece of chalk the lady wrote on the board question after question, and giving answers to the same. Those of local interest of course absorbed most attention, and particularly truthful was one with reference to (i recent fatal accident, while circumstantial accounts were given of two mysterious disappearances. This remarkable performance met with the rounds of applause it deserved, and tha audience left the hall in a thorough state of mystification. The entertainment wa3 pleasureably diversified by the piano and banjo playing and singing of Mr Percy Abbott, also some excellent songs by Mr Heller. The performance is certainly well wovth seeing.' ] Mr T. Sidey has just got a mower up, and is using it now at Blairpowrie station, Makotuku. It is worked by a couplo of horses, and does its work in a very satisfactory manner, lieid and Gray are tho makers. The settlers in the Norsewod district have started mowing.
