MAKOTUKU DOMAIN BOARD

An adjourned meeting of the above Board was held in the Foresters' Hall, Malcotuku on Wednesday evening. Prewnt — Messrs Kobinson, (chair), Forward, and Pike. Tenders bad been invited, (1) for stumping and clearing the Recreation Ground, and (2) for stumping, clearing, ploughing, etc. of the recreation ground. The following tenders were opened :— (1) stumping and jlearing only : W. and T. West, .£25 10s; J. Fitzgerald, £6 15s, (2) stumping, clearing, ploughing, etc., W. Howse, £n ; A. Brookes, £24 ; D. Mann, £10 ; F. Forward junr., £19 193. Mr Forward proposed, and Mr Pike seconded, that Mr D. Mann's tender be accepted. Mr Newling isked where the luonsy was coming Yom. Mr Forward said £\2 was in land, and so the members had but ;o guarantee £l each, and the money was found. This was done, and the motion was ;arried. This w»» nil the business. ■
