LICENSES FOR TYRES
APPEAL AGAINST DECISION P.A. CHRISTCHURCH, this day. An appeal against the decision of the Bureau of Industry in granting licenses to three overseas tyre and rubber companies for the manufacture in New Zealand of motor tyres, is to be made by Mr. G. W. Skellerup, representing the Latex, Marathon, Empire and Para Rubber Companies. This was announced to-day by Mr. Skellerup, who said he had no comment to make for the time being about the bureau's decision. (Other reference to the granting of the licenses appears on Page 7.)
