BLACK-OUT AGAIN
BRITAIN'S COAL SHORTAGE Rec. 1.30. LONDON, August 22. The black-out is returning to Britain because of coal shortage, says the Daily Express. Mr. E. Shinwell, Minister of Fuel and Power, announced that he was reluctantly compelled to ask local authorities to put out street lights at midnight. They would also be asked to consider additional economies, such as reduction of the number of lights in side streets.
