BRITISH MACHINE PLANNED Rec. 1.30. LONDON, August 22. Sir Roy Dobson, managing director of A. V. Roe, Limited, builders of the Lancaster bomber and the York and Tudor transport planes, announced that his firm was considering construction of a jetpropelled airliner designed -to operate at high speeds and accommodating 40 passengers or 22 sleepers, with a range of more than 4000 miles.
