SUNDAY LECTURES

AUCKLAND MUSEUM SERIES '— # . A programme of Sunday afternoon lectures to be given at the Auckland Museum has been drawn up. Commencing on September 17 with a lecture by Mr. V. F. Fisher on New Caledonia, the series will continue until October 29, and will embrace a number of interesting subjects. On September 24, Mr. M. Rosenfeld will take as his subject "Czechoslovakia," and on October 1, Mr. S. W. Taylor will speak on "China's People and Progress." "The Moa" will be the title of an address by Dr. Gilbert Archey on October S, and on October 15, Miss A. M. Davies will lecture on "The Art of the American Indian." The lecture on October* 29 will be delivered by Miss Olga Adams, on "Maori Carved Houses and War Canoes." The talks will be amply illustrated by lantern slides and cinema films.
