STOCKING RATIONS

With reference to the numbers of stockingless women who. like myself, have been unable during the past two years to purchase fully-fashioned hose owing to the very unfair system of distribution, may I suggest a method which to my way of thinking would be fair play. On being able to purchase fully-fashioned hose the purchaser should produce her Social Security book or last ration book and have it stamped by the shop assistant. Then, when that same person attempts to secure another pair the shop assistant, on seeing the hook already stamped, would refuse the sale of a second pair. This would enable us women who are not in the know to purchase one pair, or shop assistants, who from my point of view are the only ones successful in purchasing fullyfashioned hose. Maybe our rationing controller will do something to assist us unfortunate women. ONE OF THE STOCKINGLESS.
