ARMY LABOUR
FRUIT PICKERS XOT SOUGHT The published statement that fruitgrowers in the North were experiencing difficulty in gathering crops, because the Army was not making men available for picking, was commented upon to-day by Northern Military Headquarters. It was officially stated that the Army had no application from fruitgrowers for labour. "To "that extent," said an officer, ''the position has certainly been misrepresented."
