NAVAL MAN'S SERVICE
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, Thursday. The Minister of Defence, "Mr. Jones, has been advised by the Admiralty that the King has approved the award of a bar to the Distinguished Service Cross to Temporary-Lieutenant Frank Athol Joseph Pennington for good service in the attack on Salerno. Lieutenant Pennington who recently was awarded the D.S.C. for good service in the destruction of enemy aircraft, entered the Royal Navy in 1940 and received his commission in the R.N.Z.N.V.R. in 1941 His mother is Mrs. G. A. Pennington, of Wellington. _ iJSA
