STOREMAN CHARGED
ALLEGED ATTEMPTED MURDER Upon his discharge from hospital this morning, Norman Leslie Huia Kelly, a storeman (45), was brought before Mr. J. H. Luxford, S.M., in the Police Court on a charge of attempting to murder Katherine Agnes Kelly on September 7. In asking for a remand until October 4, Senior-Detective Walsh said it was alleged that Kelly had inflicted injuries to himself and until to-day he had been in hospital. In remanding Kelly until October '4 the magistrate said he would recommend that facilities be given to allow accused to be examined by a psychiatrist, a request made by Mr. P. H. Haigh, who appeared for Kelly.
