PRISON FOR ASSAULT

Charges of assaulting Frederick Calvi Freeman and Iris May Smith on Saturday were admitted by John William Hands (30), motor driver, for whom Mr. Aekins appeared in the Police Court this morning. Remarking that it was a bad case of assault, as Freeman was an elderly man and obviously did not look well, Mr. J. H. Luxford, S.M., sentenced Hands to 21 days' imprisonment on the first charge. Hands was convicted and discharged for the second assault.
