For the year ended March 31 last Tasman Empire Airways, Ltd., carried 2259 passengers. For the same period freight was 33,9901b, mails were 101,7371b, passenger miles were 3,023,040, freight ton miles were 20,332, mail ton miles were 60,874, miles flown were 192,960, hours flown were 1265, trips schedules totalled 144, load capacity was 95.79 per cent, and trips flown were 100 pei* cent.
From the commencement of the service, in April, 1940, to June 30 of the present year, 6173 passengers were carried, also 128,6951b of freight and 372,9021b of mail. At least 616,200 miles were flown, in 4078 hours.
