ALLIED RECOGNITION

FRENCH NATIONAL COMMITTEE

LONDON, Aug. 26. The British, United States and Canadian Governments have conditionally recognised the French National Committee of Liberation. The British statement was handed to the committee by Mr. Harold Macmillan, the British Resident Minister in Algiers. Mr. Robert Murphy, the United States Minister, delivered his country's statement.

The Belgian Government has recognised the French Committee of National Liberation. It was the first Allied Government to do so.
