PARLIAMENTARY REFORM
At the general meeting of the Parliamentary Reform Association it was resolved: "That the elector should demand from each candidate for Parliament at the forthcoming election a fidelity bond of £500 lodged in the hands of the candidate's election committee, the bond to be forfeited and given to a recognised charity, if the candidate failed to carry out his political promises and pledges when elected to Parliament."
