INADEQUATE SERVICE
(0.C.) WHANGAREI, this day. The Whangarei Borough Council decided last night to express concern to the No. 1 Transport Licensing Authority, Mr. E. J. Phelan, regarding the lack of adequate bus and taxi services for the necessary transport of the Whangarei public. The Mayor said that drivers were not to blame for the appalling shortage caused by the shortages of tyres and benzine.
